ENTRANCES FOR DANCE CLASSES

In order to increase safety measures for all children on the school grounds on Saturdays, there have been some important changes relating to dropping off and collecting children from their dance classes.

From this Saturday onwards, ALL parents bringing children to street and breakdance classes, both in the morning and during the afternoon should now use the MARCHWOOD CRESCENT gates, just off Eaton Rise.

The Junior school gates on Eaton Rise will be permanently shut on Saturdays from this weekend so please ensure you now use the Marchwood Crescent gates instead.

There will now be a warden on the Marchwood Crescent gates and they will be opened 10 minute before each hour and closed 10 minutes after. Therefore please ensure you drop off and collect your child on time each week

FOR PARENTS WHOSE CHILDREN HAVE THEIR CLASS IN THE DANCE STUDIO

Parents bringing children to the dance studio should bring their child straight to the dance studio and and collect them directly from the studio as well (exactly as you have been doing).

During their class, you are welcome to sit in the Polish school cafe and purchase tea and coffee and cakes, etc. The Polish school cafe is situated in the main school building in the Orchard Hall (by the Stage), or you can leave the site and come back to collect your child after their class.

Please can parents ensure they are in no other area of the school apart from the Polish school cafe during their child’s class as we need to work alongside the Polish school in ensuring safety and security for all our children and they, like us, have a strict child protection policy of which we all need to be respectful.

FOR PARENTS WHOSE CHILDREN HAVE THEIR CLASS IN THE THEATRE (GLENDYNE ROOM) UPSTAIRS

Parents and dancers who have their class in the theatre now should NOT bring their child directly to the theatre. Please can parents Kindly wait in the area by the lift under the staircase where Ash will collect them for their class 5 minutes before it is due to start.

Parents should then either wait for their child in the cafe area, or come back 5 minutes before their child’s class ends and wait by the lift again where Ash will bring their children down to them.

Please can no parents bring their child directly up to the theatre in the way they have done in the past. All children will now be collected before their class and brought back after their class to the same location, right by the lift.

If any parents are late in bringing/collecting their child, they should contact Ash (you all will have his contact details from the WhatsApp parents group) and he will come down.

The above also applies to senior dancers in the Abstract group – they should wait downstairs by the lift at 5 minutes before their class and Ash will come down to collect them.

FIRE ALARM PROCEDURE

From now on, if a fire alarm is sounded on Saturdays, everybody must evacuate the building and convene in the playground.

This includes all dancers and all parents.

Thanks everyone and see you on Saturday – any questions please catch me on Saturday and I can go through any queries or concerns you may have.
