We can’t wait to see all the kids on Saturday 11th September when we begin our Autumn term at ESDA.
Just a few things to remember for current and new students at the academy.
Dropping off and collecting your child
Due to the ongoing Covid-secure policies at the school, parents are still not permitted to enter the actual building so please can parents drop their child off and then collect them at the end of their class.
This applies to all dancers, including those trying their first taster session. The only exception is for new parents of our under 5’s class who are permitted to use a separate entrance and watch their toddler for their first class. Parents will be directed to the correct place upon arrival.
We appreciate that there may be some shy and nervous ‘first timers’ but please rest assured we will be doing everything possible to ensure they feel comfortable, confident and at ease. If there are any children who are really struggling, we can always bring them down to see their parent mid-way through the class so they can be reassured and see mum/dad’s face to say a quick hello.
This usually isn’t necessary as our teachers and assistants are very experienced at making our newbies feel at home but just to give you that extra peace of mind, the option is always there for the first taster session.
What to wear and bring
Please ensure your child wears loose, comfy clothing, appropriate for dance and they will need a full water bottle as they’ll be working and dancing hard!
A note for current dancers
All current dancers should arrive at their normal class time (unless they have moved up) and register as usual. Their teachers will then collect them and take them up to their classes.
We look forward to seeing you all on the 11th!
